Is your club up for the NEXT CHALLENGE?

What is it and when is it?

This is a regular tournament and a club challenge to be held on a date that each participating club agrees on. That date for 2012 season is ?????? . Each club that wishes to participate must have a minimum of 10 active members fishing. Start making plans now for your club to compete! If your club wishes to participate in the next tournament, contact Bob Aldert for more information.

How do I enter my bass club and when is the cut off date to enter?

To enter your bass club, simply get (at least) 10 members from your club (must be paid active members) to fish. Your club will need to nominate a member from your club at act as tournament director from your club to work with the other clubs chosen tournament directors. This person will then be responsible for collecting your clubs entry forms and fees. The cutoff date for new Association Clubs to sign up for this event will be March 7, 2012. Current Association Clubs will have no cut off date.

What lake will the challenge be on and how is the lake determined?

The lake is determined by a draw. A representative from each club will meet at a predetermined location (2012 we will meet on March ?th at 7:00 pm at Daddy-O’s Pub at 359 Lake Park Rd in Lewisville) and will bring with them the names of two lakes chosen by a vote from their club, unless all parties can agree on the same lake prior to the meeting. For the first tournament, two representatives from the Lewisville Bass Anglers, and Coppell Bass Club met and put the lake names in a hat and had a passer-by draw one. To ensure your club participates in the next drawing, please contact someone from any of our club members representatives. That way your club will be contacted to participate in dates and lake choices for the next tournament.

How many clubs can join the challenge?

There is no limit to the number of clubs that can join. As long as your club meets the minimum requirements of 10 active members, you can participate.

What if my club makes plans, pays money and doesn’t end up with the required number of paid anglers?

Then the individuals that wanted to participate could still compete for the overall money, but their club would not be able to compete for the trophy.

What if my club makes plans, pays money and ends up with the required number of paid anglers but they don’t all show up?

If your club has 10 paid contestants and they don’t all show up but did all pay, then those that did show up could still compete for the trophy and the money.

What will it cost to enter?

The cost to enter the Challenge Tournament is $25.00 per person. This will be paid to the representative from your club, There will be a separate optional $5 Big Bass Pot. This is a 100% Payout Tournament.

How is the winning club determined and what does the winning club get?

The winning club will be determined by the weight of all the fish weighed in by their members. Then the total pounds of fish will be divided by the number of members fishing from that club to get an average pounds per angler.

The winning club get the “BRAGGIN’ RIGHTS” and their Bass Club Name, Lake and Year imprinted on the trophy. Kind of like the Stanley Cup for Bass Fishing. And they get to keep and display the trophy until the next challenge. Their name will also be posted on this Challenge Website.
